About the Inspiration (St. Louis Edition):
Saint Louis — The Arch, the Mississippi, and the Gateway to the West
Saint Louis is one of the few American cities defined by a single, perfect piece of architecture. The Gateway Arch — 630 feet of stainless steel rising from the bank of the Mississippi, designed by Eero Saarinen — is the tallest monument in the United States and one of the most recognisable silhouettes anywhere in the world. For me, the magic is what happens when you put it on a wall: it is one of the few skyline elements that needs almost no introduction. Anyone who sees it knows immediately what city it represents.
The collection I have built for Saint Louis tries to honour that singular form. You will see the Arch take centre stage in most pieces — alongside One Metropolitan Square, the AT&T Center, and the 1839 Old Courthouse with its dome — but there is always something grounding it, whether that is the Mississippi River curving past the riverfront or the steel of Eads Bridge crossing into Illinois. Saint Louis carries the title “Gateway to the West” for a reason, and the skyline still feels like the doorway it always was.
You will find Saint Louis in every format I produce. There are vertical and horizontal Saint Louis skyline prints in all my signature colour schemes, from soft pastels to bold watercolours. The 3-piece Saint Louis wall art sets are one of my most popular formats for larger walls — the triptych layout suits a skyline this defined by a single curve. You can also explore retro Saint Louis posters with vintage travel character, or the newer city map with skyline designs that combine street-level detail with the Arch above. For gifts, the hand-drawn Saint Louis cityscapes tend to catch a lot of eyes.
Saint Louis pieces go to a really wide mix of people. Lifelong Saint Louisans, of course, and plenty of former residents who have moved away and want the Arch back on their wall. Wash U and SLU alumni are another big group — the city has such a strong student-to-forever-memory pipeline. And it is a favourite for Cardinals and Blues fans, for couples marking a wedding or engagement at Forest Park or under the Arch, and for anyone who calls The Hill, Soulard, or the Central West End home. As with every piece in the shop, sizes, materials, and colour schemes are all fully customisable, and I will send a digital proof before anything is printed.
If you cannot find Saint Louis in the exact style you are picturing, message me and we can design it together — at no extra cost. Made with tons of care, and I hope you find a piece that feels like home.
