About the Inspiration (Cincinnati Edition):
Cincinnati — The Queen City and the Bridge That Built Brooklyn
Cincinnati is one of those cities most people overlook until they actually stand on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River and look back. The view stops you. The Roebling Suspension Bridge in the foreground, completed in 1866 by John A. Roebling — yes, the same engineer who would go on to design the Brooklyn Bridge nearly two decades later — and the downtown skyline rising behind it. For me, that bridge is the heart of the whole composition: an architectural prototype that became the symbol of an entire city.
The collection I have built for Cincinnati tries to honour that history. You will see the skyline take centre stage in most pieces — the Art Deco Carew Tower, PNC Tower, the crowned Great American Tower (the “Tiara”), and Fountain Square — but there is always something grounding it, whether that is the Roebling Bridge across the Ohio or the Italianate streets of Over-the-Rhine just north of downtown. Cincinnati earns its nickname of the “Queen City” the moment you see the skyline reflected in the river.
You will find Cincinnati in every format I produce. There are vertical and horizontal Cincinnati skyline prints in all my signature colour schemes, from soft pastels to bold watercolours. The 3-piece Cincinnati wall art sets are one of my most popular formats for larger walls — the triptych layout works beautifully for a city built along a riverbend. You can also explore retro Cincinnati posters with vintage travel character, or the newer city map with skyline designs that combine street-level detail with the towers above. For gifts, the hand-drawn Cincinnati cityscapes tend to catch a lot of eyes.
Cincinnati pieces go to a really wide mix of people. Lifelong Cincinnatians, of course, and plenty of former residents who have moved away and want the skyline back on their wall. UC and Xavier alumni are another big group — the city has such a strong student-to-forever-memory pipeline. And it is a favourite for Reds and Bengals fans, for couples marking a wedding or engagement near Smale Park or on the Roebling Bridge itself, and for anyone who calls Over-the-Rhine, Hyde Park, or Mount Adams home. As with every piece in the shop, sizes, materials, and colour schemes are all fully customisable, and I will send a digital proof before anything is printed.
If you cannot find Cincinnati in the exact style you are picturing, message me and we can design it together — at no extra cost. Made with tons of care, and I hope you find a piece that feels like home.
